Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy teams in delivering safe, accurate prescriptions and excellent patient service in a retail setting. The role includes following SOPs, assisting with immunizations, and maintaining inventory under state regulations.

The technician will complete required training, meet licensure/certification requirements, and may travel to stores in the market as needed.

Qualifications

• Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements/laws governing practice
• If state board does not address minimum age, must be at least 16 years old
• If state board does not address minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance, including nights and weekends
• Complete required training within designated timeframe
• Confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Provide empathetic customer service and support immunizations and other services when applicable
• Assist with inventory activities and maintain security and accuracy in handling medications

Education
