Job summary

Avera McKennan Pharmacy is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to input and prepare labels and packages for inpatient and outpatient orders under pharmacist supervision.

You will communicate with nursing staff, physicians, customers, and colleagues to promote safe, accurate medication delivery and participate in inventory, billing, and record-keeping tasks essential to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician required or able to obtain licensure upon hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and/or national certification upon hire.
• Associate's degree or equivalent with 1–3 years pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under pharmacist supervision, input labels and prepare inpatient or outpatient medication orders and prescriptions.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, customers, co-workers, and management to promote patient safety and efficient service.
• Assist with billing, pharmacy inventory, and record-keeping to ensure compliant medication delivery and accreditation requirements.
