Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an Outpatient Technician Coordinator to support medication access. After a 4–6 week training, you will decipher MSOT prescriptions in EPIC, process claims and determine insurance eligibility, and assist with financial aid and prior authorizations.

You will answer phones, capture payments, and coordinate patient access to medications, while collaborating with pharmacists and the care team to ensure safe, timely care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Good math, organization, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Gather insurance information and coordinate medication needs from prescribers to patient receipt; manage prior authorizations and financial assistance.
• Ensure patients stay on track with regimens and coordinate refills; outbound follow-ups.
• Coordinate with centralized support and outpatient pharmacy to complete tasks timely; answer inquiries.
• Review EMR and other disciplines to determine next steps; document for seamless care.
