Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an entry-level Pharmacy Technician to support the IV room and outpatient pharmacy operations. After training, you will decipher and enter orders, compound IVs, perform labeling and dispensing tasks, answer phones, stock the department, and assist the pharmacist as needed.

You will work with sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines, use EPIC and McKesson systems, and ensure accuracy in med administration and packaging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Michigan pharmacy technician licensure or temporary/licensed status required.
• Must obtain full license within 365 days if starting with temporary license.
• Experience with aseptic technique and sterile compounding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run reports, restock dispensing machines and assist with narcotic follow-up.
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines.
• Label medications accurately using computer systems.
• Fill and reconcile UD medicine carts with McKesson and EPIC.
• Repackage and stock floor medications and deliver to areas as needed.
