Job summary

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA is seeking a Part-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join the team. The role supports care delivery and dispensing under pharmacist supervision at Careplex Hospital, Hampton, VA.

Responsibilities include filling and delivering medications, ensuring supply availability, and escalating issues outside scope. Requires Virginia Pharmacy Tech License; CPhT preferred. Benefits available; sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License is required.
• CPhT License through NHA/PTCBB is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions or issues outside the technician's scope of practice.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Maintains quality assurance per department and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Sentara is hiring a Part-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA.

City/State: Hampton, VA

Work Shift: Rotating

$2,500 Sign-on Bonus for Qualified Candidates!

Location: Hampton, VA- Careplex Hospital

Status: Part Time (40 hrs per pay period)

Shift: Rotating (8 hour shifts)

Hours: 6am-11pm*

Weekends: Every Other Weekend

Holiday Rotation

• Hours may vary to meet pharmacy staffing needs.
