Job summary

Sentara Health in Hampton, VA is seeking a PRN/Flexi Pharmacy Technician for Sentara Careplex. The role supports licensed pharmacists and ensures continuous patient care by filling and delivering medications, maintaining supplies, and using the Epic system.

This on-site position requires Virginia pharmacy tech licensure, a CPhT, high school diploma, and typically one year of experience is preferred. Rotating shifts, competitive benefits, and opportunities to contribute to a busy outpatient

Sentara is hiring a PRN/Flexi Pharmacy Technician for our Pharmacy at Sentara Careplex in Hampton, VA.

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately
