Shields Health Solutions is seeking a Patient Outreach Coordinator (Pharmacy Technician Cold Calls) in Bastrop, LA. You will proactively reach out to eligible patients, enroll them with Shields Partner Pharmacy, and educate them about the specialty program.

This role requires a Louisiana-licensed pharmacy technician with 2+ years of experience and excellent phone communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office aids documentation and data management.

Qualifications

• Louisiana state-licensed Pharmacy Technician.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to eligible patients by phone to enroll them with Shields Partner Pharmacy.
• Educate patients on Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program services.
• Protect patient information and maintain confidentiality.
• Explain why Shields Partner Pharmacy is superior to other models.
• Build rapport with patients through clear, persuasive communication.
• Demonstrate strong verbal communication and meeting quality standards.

Job description

Patient Outreach Coordinator (Pharmacy Technician Cold Calls)

Schedule: 8 hour shift between 8:30AM - 7:00PM CST, Monday - Friday.

Competitive hourly rate plus quarterly bonus potential!

• Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population by making outbound phone calls to eligible patients and enrolling them with Shields Partner Pharmacy
• Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program
• Protect Shields values by keeping information confidential
• Communicate with patient over the phone and provide them the compelling reason why the Shields Partner Pharmacy program is superior to any other comprehensive pharmacy care model.
• Ability to verbally communicate a compelling reason why patients should use shields pharmacy.
• Strong verbal communication and phone skills.
• Ability to quickly build rapport and relate with patients over the phone.
• A clear focus on high quality.
• Prior customer service experience / outbound call experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Solid computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) for communication, documentation, and data management, as well as, navigating the internet and web-based platforms. Data entry and computer skills will be evaluated through an assessment as part of the pre-employment process.
