Serviam Pharmacy in Sioux City, IA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician who supports the pharmacist with filling prescriptions, labeling, inventory, and data entry to ensure patient safety and accurate dispensing.

You will prepare medications, package for dispensing, communicate professionally with nursing centers and clients, and help maintain compliance with policies and state regulations. This role emphasizes teamwork and reliability in a busy community setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to operate personal computers and/or computer terminals.
• Skilled in performing detailed work.
• Ability to recognize and identify patient medications.

Responsabilités

• Assists the Pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Types prescription information to produce labels.
• Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves, and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.
• Inputs patient data and medication orders into a computer system.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments.
• Packages medications for dispensing and for delivery.
• Communicates with nursing center personnel and other customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Process returned medications from the facility for credit or destruction.
• Perform other tasks assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
