Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to support care delivery and dispensing under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. The role covers medication filling, delivery, and ensuring continuous patient care while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

Hours are nights on a seven-on/seven-off schedule with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required).
• CPhT License (Received through NHA or PTCB) (Preferred).
• Experience in a pharmacy setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pharmacy Technicians perform care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Fills and delivers medications under supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care.
• Triages and escalates questions or issues outside the technician's scope of practice as needed.
• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information.
• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements.
• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately.
• Other duties may be assigned.
