Job summary

Avita Pharmacy in Salisbury, NC seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications in central fill and retail settings. The role focuses on patient care, education, and efficient prescription processing in a Monday–Friday schedule, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The ideal candidate has NC BOP registration, 1+ year experience, and is proficient in English; Spanish is a plus. Knowledge of PioneerRx and EMR/EHR systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires NC BOP registration.
• 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience.
• National Pharmacy Technician certification highly preferred.
• Proficient in English; Spanish a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills; 30+ wpm.

Responsibilities

• Remove drug(s) from stock; count, pour, or mix pharmaceuticals.
• Place product into designated containers.
• Affix the label to the container.
• Package/repackage as needed.
• Verify/re-verify insurance benefits.
• Interact courteously with patients and team members.
• Answer incoming calls and make outbound calls.
• Handle payment transactions at POS and reconcile daily transactions.
• Coordinate prescription deliveries.
• Proactively identify and analyze problems and provide solutions.
