Job summary

Charlotte Community Health Clinic, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, process prescriptions, and maintain patient profiles in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires a valid NC Pharmacy Technician license, 3+ years of experience, and a current BLS certification within 90 days. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred, with a strong emphasis on HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacy Technician license in North Carolina.
• 3+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Current BLS certification required within first 90 days.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify information.
• Enter prescription information into the computer.
• Create and update patient profiles as needed.
• Answers phone calls to answer questions and intake requests.
• Assist patients with locating OTC medications and refer to Pharmacist for complex questions.
• Assist in ordering, labeling, and stocking medications and supplies.
• Operate cash register to collect payments.
• Receive and unpack supply orders.
• Restock prescriptions when applicable.
• Assist with third-party rejections.
• Pull expired stock from shelves.
• Maintain neat, organized work area.
• Handle customer complaints and escalate as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA/legal guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
