Job summary

Genoa Healthcare in Grand Island, NE, is hiring a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing prescriptions and clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The role offers 20 hours per week with potential to flex up to 40 hours, with schedule Monday–Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm and Friday 8:30am–4:00pm (lunch 12:30–1:00).

Qualifications

• Customer service and clerical support in a pharmacy setting.
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Pharmacy terminology and prescription data entry basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
