Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum and UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the Genoa mental health pharmacy. Primary duties include dispensing prescriptions under supervision and handling clerical tasks while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm with 30 minutes lunch. The role emphasizes customer service, accurate data entry, and collaboration with pharmacists in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacy Technician license.
• Ability to travel up to 10% to cover local callouts and PTO.
• Access to reliable transportation with a valid US Driver’s License.
• Preferred: Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic
• Fills prescription orders and verifies under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
• Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
