Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Position Overview

Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to caring for patients with purpose and integrity. We seek a full-time Pharmacy Technician (PT) to prepare medications, assist patients, and manage inventory at our Minnie Jones Health Center in Asheville, NC.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare medications under pharmacist supervision, including counting, measuring, labeling, and recording.
  2. Assist patients with prescriptions, including customer service and counseling.
  3. Order medications from wholesalers, maintain accurate inventory, and manage out-of-stock and special order medications.
  4. Ensure compliance with regulations, including 340b guidelines.
  5. Handle billing data entry and prescription processing.
  6. Participate in quality assurance activities.
  7. Perform daily cycle counts and return unused medications appropriately.
  8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (NC Board of Pharmacy certification preferred).
  • At least 5 years of pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian/Ukrainian preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical office operations and FQHC roles preferred.
