Pharmacy Technician – Medication Adherence Program
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to support clinical and operational processes for our Medication Adherence Program. This role involves engaging with Medicare Part D members to promote program benefits and assisting in program management. You will work closely with staff pharmacists, pharmacy interns, students, and members to ensure the program's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor a toll-free call center and handle incoming member calls, including opt-out requests.
- Maintain accurate call logs and membership spreadsheets.
- Manage and respond to communications in the program’s electronic mailbox.
- Organize and maintain program files.
- Research, analyze, and evaluate data to identify trends and address challenges.
- Track program initiatives, outcomes, and objectives to ensure goal achievement.
- Collaborate to resolve program-related issues and fulfill organizational objectives.
- Assist in creating plans, reports, and other program documentation.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: At least two (2) years of college.
- Certification: Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is required.
Experience
- Preferred:
- Five (5) years of experience in retail or hospital pharmacy.
- Two (2) years of call center experience.
- Familiarity with Medicare Part D prescription benefits.
- Knowledge of prescription drug names and therapeutic classes.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with pharmacy claims processing and Medicare Part D formularies is a plus.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend written instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Working Conditions
This is a remote position with no unusual hazards. Candidates must have a dedicated workspace to perform job duties effectively.
