Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist in delivering medications to in-house patients and in-home services, while supporting quality control for distribution technologies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, eligibility to work in Ohio, and certification within 90 days (PTCB or ExCPT) or current Ohio registration with continued recertification.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old with no felony convictions per Ohio law.
• Must obtain/maintain PTCB or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire.
• May be registered with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy or become certified within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs duties in delivering pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Delivers medication-related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
• Assists Pharmacists with quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
