Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pediatric, critical care, oncology, and inpatient pharmacies under a Pharmacist’s supervision. You’ll assist with dispensing, medication-related services for in-house patients, and take-home medications, while upholding MetroHealth’s mission and customer service standards.

This role requires an HS diploma and active or eligible certification (PTCB/ExCPT) within 90 days, plus Ohio Board registration or trainee status; 18+

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.
• 18 years of age or older with no felony convictions per Ohio law.
• Must obtain PTCB or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it.
• Must be registered or eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician in Ohio and maintain active status.
• Willingness and ability to travel to external satellite locations and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Pharmacist, supports delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
• Assists in dispensing and medication-related services for in-house patients and take-home medications.
• Supports quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Upholds MetroHealth System mission, vision, and customer service standards.
