Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies under a pharmacist's supervision. You will assist with medication distribution, quality control for drug distribution technologies, and take-home medication services, while maintaining the system's service standards and patient care commitments.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, be 18 or older with no felony history, and obtain or maintain PTCB/ExCPT

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent.
18 years of age or older with no felony convictions.
PTCB certification or ExCPT certification within 90 days of hire.
Licensed or registered as Pharmacy Technician with Ohio Board of Pharmacy (or must become Certified Pharmacy Technician within 90 days).
Willingness to travel to external satellite locations and access to reliable transportation.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Under supervision of a Pharmacist, delivers pharmaceutical care in specialty and inpatient pharmacies.
Delivers medication-related services to in-house patients and take-home medications.
Assists Pharmacists with quality control for drug distribution technologies.
Upholds MetroHealth System mission, vision, values and customer service standards.
