Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support specialty and inpatient pharmacies under pharmacist supervision. You will assist with drug distribution, QC checks, and take-home medication services.

Applicants need a HS Diploma or GED and eligible PTCB/ExCPT certification with Ohio pharmacy registrations. Willingness to travel to satellite locations and reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current or pending PTCB certification; must obtain within 90 days.
• ExCPT certification from NHA required.
• Active Ohio State Board of Pharmacy registration or must become registered within 90 days.
• Willing to travel to external satellite locations and have reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a wide variety of duties in the delivery of pharmaceutical care in specialty pharmacies and inpatient pharmacy.
• Delivers medication related services to in-house patients and related take-home medication services.
• Assists Pharmacists in performing quality control procedures for drug distribution technologies.
• Upholds MetroHealth System's mission, vision, values and customer service standards.
