Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure and certification for state.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting including data entry.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and complies with the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct.
• Assist and greet patients; answer questions; refer complex inquiries to Pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory; place orders; verify receipt; manage stock.
• Enter patient and drug information; fill prescriptions; check interactions.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Medicare, and Co-pay requirements; report prescription errors.
• Direct and assist team members to maintain workflow and deadlines.
• Process claims for third-party reimbursement with insurers.
