Job summary

You will greet patients, manage inventory, verify prescriptions, and ensure safety through interaction checks while upholding HIPAA and Medicare rules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; education may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration and maintain current licensure.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting to include pharmacy/medical data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer questions, referring complex issues to the Pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels, place orders, verify receipts.
• Enter patient and drug data into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions, count and verify medications; check interactions.
• Report prescription errors to the Pharmacist per policy.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, and co-pay requirements.
• Direct and assist team members to maintain workflow.
• Process third-party claims for reimbursement.
