Job summary

ChenMed in the United States seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations, assist with processing prescriptions, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. You will work under the Pharmacist to maintain accurate patient and drug information while delivering compassionate care.

The role requires active Pharmacy Technician registration, at least one year of pharmacy experience, and strong knowledge of HIPAA and medication safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience can substitute education.
• Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure and certification for state.
• Minimum one year of experience in a pharmacy setting including pharmacy/medical data entry

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person or by phone and answer questions; refer inquiries to Pharmacist when needed.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and stock levels; place and expedite orders; verify receipts.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems; ensure accuracy and check for interactions.
• Process prescriptions and verify medicines; check for possible interactions.
• Report prescription errors to Pharmacist and follow company policies on errors and quality improvement.
• Comply with HIPAA, Medicare, Co-pay and other regulations.
• Assist and guide team members to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
• Process third-party claims efficiently to obtain payment.
