We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our amazing St. John's Hospital team!
This is a full time position on theday/evening/night shift!
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician III is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex healthcare environment. This may include dose dispensing technology and sterile medication compounding, and chemotherapy medication compounding. The Pharmacy Technician III will work in advanced technical areas, such as satellite operating room and intensive care unit, as well as be efficient in tech check tech and code response practices.
The Pharmacy Technician III will function as a subject matter expert in at least two advanced technical areas and can skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of pharmacy technician experience in a complex healthcare environment.
Eligible to become registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy and eligible to become certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
Nationally certified or become certified within 12 months of employment. Certifying exams must have National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accreditation, with examples including, Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and The Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
Education
Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program
Two years of pharmacy technician experience in a complex healthcare environment.
