Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and labeling medications for various routes of administration, including oral, rectal, topical, and injectable.
• Mix IV admixture solutions aseptically using laminar airflow hoods.
• Apply labels to medications and perform related duties.
• Utilize computer systems for billing, requisitions, and inventory management.
• Provide medication and drug information to hospital staff and patients.
• Answer phones and support pharmacy operations.
• Generate labels and fill patient unit dose cassettes.
• Prepare controlled substances for dispensing and restock medication areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify purchasing staff of low stock.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience and graduation from a certified pharmacy technician program.
• PTCB Certification required.
• Strong math, communication, and computer skills, with knowledge of pharmacy nomenclature.
• Excellent command of English language skills.
