Job summary

Qualifications

• Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Education: High School Graduate with at least (1) year pharmacy technician experience
• Required Licensure/Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Intern in Florida or Registered Pharmacy Technician in Florida
• Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A
• Required Experience: 6 months technician experience in relevant practice area - see required education and required licensure/certification sections for details
• Preferred Experience: One or more years of pharmacy technician experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain medication systems through preparation, compounding, packaging and delivery of medications.
• Possibly prepare IV medications and maintain optimal environment for preparation and storage of medications.
• Assist pharmacists in meeting regulatory compliance requirements.
• Verify correct medication is selected for the automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) refill functions.
• Assist in training and education of other technicians.
• Fulfill all responsibilities of Pharmacy Technician I.
