Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center is hiring a Pharmacy Technician II PRN to support hospital operations in Thousand Oaks. You will fill prescriptions for admitted patients, prepare medicines, stock supplies, and collect patient information.

Opportunities may include compounding meds and IV fluids, under supervision. You will work with hospital staff daily, address pharmacy automation issues, and ensure secure, compliant medication storage.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of pharmacy technician training program.
• Licensure by California State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician.
• 1 year previous experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
• Minimum of 6 months Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Successful completion of Technician Certification Exam.
• Continued recognition as Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions for patients admitted to the hospital.
• Prepare medicine, stock supplies, and collect patient information.
• Create compound medications and IV fluids where appropriate.
• Maintain medication storage and security per regulatory requirements.
• Interact daily with hospital personnel in person and by phone.
• Identify and solve problems with pharmacy automation with or without technical support.

Job Summary and Qualifications
