Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Float Pool Nurse to provide direct patient care using the nursing process in alignment with the California Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

The role requires ICU-level nursing experience, a CA RN license, BLS and ACLS credentials, NIHSS Stroke certification, and the ability to float across Med-Surg to Critical Care with flexibility in patient ratios.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Current RN License by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Current ACLS required
  • NIHSS Stroke certification required
  • Minimum passing score on the Los Robles EKG exam required
  • Minimum of one-year acute care RN experience
  • ICU-level nursing experience required
  • Flexibility to float between all units and adapt to varying patient ratios

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care following the nursing process.
  • Adhere to California Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Float between units (Med Surg to Critical Care) as needed and manage patient care efficiently

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Float Pool Nurse that will perform direct patient care through utilization of the nursing process in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act, physician orders, hospital policies and procedures, and established professional standards. You are responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, competent care either through direct delivery of that care or appropriate delegation and for performance improvement and quality initiatives as appropriate.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. BSN preferred.
  • Current RN License by the Board of Nurse Examiners State of California
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Current ACLS required
  • NIHSS Stroke certification required
  • Minimum passing score of 80% on the Los Robles EKG exam required
  • Minimum of one-year acute care RN experience required
  • ICU-level nursing experience required
  • Flexibility to float between all units (Med Surg to Critical Care) and adapt to varying patient ratios
