Job summary

Baptist Health is a major healthcare system in central Alabama with a focus on hospital-based and outpatient services. The Pharmacy Technician II position supports the medication use process, assists pharmacists in preparation, and helps manage inventory and insurance claims across the Baptist Medical Center East location.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma, at least 1 year of pharmacy tech experience, and active ALBOP certification with CPhT credential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Active ALBOP Pharmacy Tech certification required; CPhT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical functions in the medication use process.
• Assist Pharmacist with preparation and compounding of pharmaceutical products.
• Assess inventory of pharmacy products and manage stock levels.
• Resolve insurance claims during dispensing as applicable.
• Cross training in a key functional area as outlined in Technician Career Ladder.
