Job summary

Baptist Health in central Alabama is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in the medication use process, assist with preparation and compounding of pharmaceutical products, and help manage inventory and insurance claims.

This PRN position on the Second Shift at Baptist Medical Center East requires a high school diploma, 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience, and active ALBOP/CPhT credentials; strong communication and HIPAA awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
• Active ALBOP Pharmacy Tech certification required, CPhT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical functions in the medication use process.
• Assist the Pharmacist in preparation and compounding of pharmaceutical products.
• Assess inventory of pharmacy products and resolve insurance claims as they arise during dispensing.
• Cross training in one key functional area; may have additional duties within scope of the role.
