Job summary

Reading Hospital Exeter Pharmacy in Reading, PA is hiring an onsite Pharmacy Technician. This full-time role supports a pharmacy open 7 days per week with 8–10 hour shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

You will create patient profiles, communicate with patients and prescribers, enter plan information, review adjudication, assist with inventory, and support pharmacist therapeutics. PA license or trainee license required; PTCB certification preferred; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years directly related pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB) preferred.
• PA Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Technician Trainee license is required.

Responsibilities

• Create a patient profile in the pharmacy information system.
• Communicate with patients, prescribers, and staff to solve problems.
• Enter prescription plan information for processing and adjudicating prescriptions.
• Enter new patient prescription information in the system.
• Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues with providers and patients.
• Retrieve and prepare medications for pharmacist review and verification.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking.
• Answer inbound calls and triage to appropriate staff.
• Operate the point-of-sale system.
• Assist with adjudicated claims to ensure proper reimbursement.
