Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Minnesota is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the central and decentralized pharmacy operations under supervision of a pharmacist. You will assist with compounding, distribution of pharmaceuticals and IV solutions, and documentation as ordered by qualified prescribers, including involvement in narcotics control areas.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills, proficient in English, detail oriented, strong problem solving, ability to follow policies and procedures.
• Pharmacy Technician MN current or pending registration with the MN board of pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 1.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the pharmacy under the direction of a pharmacist in central and decentralized areas.
• Assist with compounding and distribution of pharmaceuticals, IV solutions and documentation as ordered by prescribers.
• Assist in narcotic control area as directed.
• Maintain IV hoods or isolators, clean room, ante room per specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas.
• Participate in regulatory, quality assurance and process improvement activities and other projects.
