Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Pharmacy Technician II to support day-to-day pharmacy operations in a complex hospital setting in Minneapolis, MN. Under pharmacist direction, you will process prescriptions, assist with sterile compounding, and help ensure timely, accurate medication delivery to patients.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MN registration and national certification or eligibility, with preference for ASHP-trained programs and some experience in a complex healthcare

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• MN registration as a Pharmacy Technician (current or pending).
• National certification required or eligible (PTCB or ExCPT) within 1.5 years.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with care providers and pharmacists to dispense medications accurately, safely, and in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Process prescriptions from EMR, prepare or dispense medications per procedures and regulatory standards.
• Maintain IV hoods, clean room, and isolators per manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery of medications, supplies, and equipment to patients and clinical areas.
• Participate in QA and process improvement activities and other projects.
• Assist in training new trainees.

Education

High School or equivalent

Pharmacy Technician MN Registration or Pending

National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) or eligible (NCCA-accredited)
