Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in outpatient and inpatient settings. You will process orders, manage inventory, and provide patient services including prescription intake and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT (NHA).
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders including computer order entry, preparation, and assembly.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and supplies per policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by handling prescriptions and documenting information.
• For Outpatient Techs: validate insurance coverage and address errors; handle cash and deposits.
• For Inpatient Techs: compound, stock, and prepare routine orders for IV meds, including labeling and parenteral nutrition.
