Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT (NHA) required.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year equivalent experience.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Pharmacy Technician through PA State Board by 2026-06-28.

Responsibilities

• Processes medication orders and prepares items for pharmacist check.
• Maintains inventory and uses pharmacy computer systems.
• Provides courteous prescription processing and customer service.
• Validates Medicaid/Medicare or commercial insurance coverage and adjudication.
• Inpatient techs: compounds, stocks, and prepares IV medications.
• Central Fill Pharmacy: safe operation of equipment (forklifts, order pickers, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
