Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Plano, TX seeks a Pharmacy Technician 2 to assist with medication distribution and related tasks in a busy hospital pharmacy.

You will maintain a specialized area, process medication orders, verify dosages, prepare IV admixtures under supervision, and support pharmacy staff in billing, inventory, and patient communication. HS diploma and TX pharmacy tech intern/technician certification required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of Experience preferred.
• TX Board of Pharmacy registration or intern status required (RPH-INT or PHT).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a specialized area and assist in purchasing, receiving, auditing, compounding, billing, informatics, and medication reconciliation.
• Enter medication orders from doctors or prescriptions and ensure correct product, dosage form, and charges.
• Complete paperwork for payment and delivery of pharmacy supplies; monitor charges.
• Order supplies daily and coordinate returns for credit when expired.
• Coordinate the Drug Recall process and maintain a clean, stocked work environment.
• Compound or admix ingredients for dispensing under pharmacist supervision; perform IV admixtures aseptically.
