Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join our clinical team across its Southern California locations. Under supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will prepare, package and compound medications, including IV and chemotherapy, while ensuring strict aseptic techniques and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years performing duties as a pharmacy technician.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and compound medications including IV and chemotherapy.
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 at all times.
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and order supplies.
• Coordinate with specialty pharmacies or manufacturers for timely deliveries.
• Process prescription orders and prior authorizations.
• Determine patient benefits and assist with financial aid when applicable.
• Label and dispense prescription drugs.
• Route and release prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy.
