Job summary

Qualifications

• California licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• 3+ years performing duties as a pharmacy technician.
• Certified Pharmacist Technician (CPhT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 at all times.
• Utilize aseptic technique for all pharmaceutical mixing.
• Order, receive, and maintain accurate medication inventory.
• Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufacturers for timely deliveries of medications for infusion.
• Perform routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning as required.
• Procure and maintain supplies necessary for daily mixing operation.
• Prescription order entry and process.
• Coordinate and submit prior authorizations.
• Determine patient's prescription benefits and seek appropriate financial assistance when applicable.
• Order, receive and maintain accurate medication inventory.
• Assist with routing and release of prescriptions to the appropriate pharmacy.
• Properly label and fill prescription drugs.
