Job summary

City of Hope in California seeks a California-registered Pharmacy Technician II to join our team. Under pharmacist supervision, you will package, prepare, and compound oral, IV, and chemotherapy medications, while maintaining inventory and stock control.

Collaboration with nursing staff and infusion services is essential to ensure patient outcomes. Ideal candidates hold a CA license, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and preferably a CPhT certification.

Qualifications

• Proficient in USP 797 & 800 compliance.
• Aseptic technique for pharmaceutical mixing.
• Maintain accurate medication inventory and stock control.
• Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufacturers for infusions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure USP 797 & 800 compliance at all times.
• Utilize aseptic technique for all pharmaceutical mixing.
• Order, receive, and maintain accurate medication inventory.
• Coordinate timely deliveries with Specialty Pharmacies for infusion meds.
• Perform routine daily/weekly/monthly cleaning as required.
• Procure supplies for daily mixing operations.
• Act as liaison with nursing/medical staff on pharmaceutical information.
• Assist pharmacist in billing pharmaceuticals.
• Inspect pharmacy areas storing medications and submit audits.
• Communicate effectively with all staff levels.
