Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to join our clinical pharmacy team. Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, you will prepare, package, and compound medications, including IV and chemotherapy preparations, ensuring safety and accuracy.

You will manage medication inventory, handle prescription entry and prior authorizations, coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies for timely deliveries, and maintain strict aseptic practices to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or post high school vocational training.
• Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacist Technician (CPhT) from Pharmacy Technician.
• Certification Board (PTCB), preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, and compound medications, including oral, IV and chemotherapy preparations.
• Order, receive and maintain accurate medication inventory.
• Prescription order entry and processing; prior authorizations.
• Coordinate with Specialty Pharmacies or manufacturers for timely deliveries of medications for infusion.
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 & 800 and aseptic techniques.
