Job summary

Baystate Health in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Certified Pharmacy Technician II to join our hospital pharmacy team. Under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will support dispensing, inventory, and sterile/non-sterile compounding in accordance with USP 795/797, using Pyxis and other automation.

You will participate in medication history, training of new staff, and ensure medication safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2 years acute care experience and/or USP 795 or 797 pharmacy experience.
• GED or HiSET is required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy operations and prepares medication trays and kits.
• Operates automated dispensing technology (Pyxis) and dose-edge systems.
• Assists in medication history collection and data entry into EHR.
• Maintains medication safety, accuracy, and high‑risk drug handling.
• Participates in training new pharmacy staff and supports quality initiatives.
