Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program or acceptance into pharmacy school.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration within 180 days of hire.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and prepare medications following workflow procedures.
• Restock automated dispensing cabinets and anesthesia workstations.
• Answer phones and route calls to appropriate personnel.
• Handle medications per department, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team, insurers, and customers to resolve issues.
• Assist with clinical functions and patient follow-up as directed.
• Train new employees and students in job-specific functions.
