Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program or acceptance into pharmacy school.
• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of pharmacy or health care related experience.
• Must be registered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within the first 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and prepare/distribute medications per department procedures.
• Restock automatic dispensing cabinets and anesthesia workstations as needed.
• Answer and screen telephone calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with medication safety and adherence initiatives and patient follow up calls.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas and support team goals.
• Support clinical pharmacist with data collection and other duties as assigned.
