Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program.
• Acceptance into pharmacy school or one year of pharmacy/health care experience for Tech I.
• North Carolina Board registration within 180 days for Tech I; Tech II requires NC board registration and PTCB/ExCPT certification.

Responsibilities

• Follow workflow procedures: prescription processing, medication preparation and distribution.
• Restock cabinets and anesthesia workstations as needed.
• Answer and screen calls; direct to appropriate personnel.
• Handle medications per regulatory and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team, insurers and customers to resolve issues.
