Job Summary and Qualifications

This position ensures high-quality, efficient drug therapy and pharmaceutical education under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Achieve goals set in previous evaluations, communicate progress with managers.
2. Make delivery and pickup rounds to nursing units.
3. Fill medication orders for pharmacist checking, deliver to nursing units.
4. Process discharges, transfers, IVs, Chemo, TPNs, and reconcile these therapies.
5. Restock work areas, prepare medication carts, and manage repackaging of medications.
6. Generate reports, check expiration dates, maintain a clean work area.
7. Ensure inventory control and formulary maintenance.
8. Assist in cross-training and orienting new employees, problem-solving, and attending in-services.

Qualifications:

• Prefer 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or successful completion of a certified tech training program.
• Proficient in aseptic techniques and IV preparation.
• Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified.
• State Registration or License as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern.
