Job summary

Mass General Brigham's North Shore Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the team at 81 Highland Avenue. Under the supervision of a staff pharmacist, you will perform routine support tasks, prepare unit-dose medications, outpatient prescriptions, and stock orders while maintaining the safety and integrity of medications.

Candidates should have a Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician License and CPhT certification, a high school diploma, and hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Perform intermediate mathematical calculations associated with preparing non-sterile, extemporaneously manufactured pharmaceutical products and other medication doses.
Follow all applicable state and federal controlled substance regulations.
Continue to improve area-specific technology skills including robotics, automation, software, equipment, and information systems.

Responsibilities

Performs pharmaceutical dosage calculations for extemporaneous dosage forms under pharmacist supervision.
Adheres to safety requirements for handling non-hazardous medications and regulatory requirements.
May train Pharmacy Technician Trainees and participate in departmental projects.
Distributes and transports stock orders while maintaining proper drug handling and storage practices.
