Job summary
Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician I to support routine technical tasks and ensure safe, timely pharmacy services. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Pharmacy Technician State License required.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician 0-1 year required.
Responsibilities
- Follow established policies and procedures to perform routine support tasks in the pharmacy.
- Understand prescription information, calculations, drug identification and labeling.
- Support safe and efficient delivery of medications and healthcare products.
- Utilize pharmacy technology, including robotics, automation, software, equipment, and information systems.
- Communicate professionally with patients and caregivers to gather information or triage inquiries.
- Audit medication storage areas and escalate discrepancies as needed.
