Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations at the North Shore Medical Center campus. The role involves assisting pharmacists with inpatient orders, preparing medications, and ensuring sterile compounding in compliance with USP 797/800 standards.

You will stock and restock IV room supplies, operate with Epic EHR, and interact with patients and staff at the service window. A hospital setting experience and state licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Perform intermediate mathematical calculations for non-sterile formulations and doses.
• Follow state and federal controlled substance regulations.
• Adapt to robotics, automation, software, and information systems.
• Read and follow instructions to prepare medications in sterile environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in filling inpatient orders and documenting activities.
• Compound medications per USP 797 regulations.
• Perform sterile compounding per USP 797 and 800 regulations.
• Prepare, deliver, and collect pharmacy items across the facility.
• Restock IV room supplies and automated dispensing cabinets.
• Answer phones and assist callers with routine inquiries.
