Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Board of Pharmacy registration is required.
• Graduate of an approved pharmacy technician program is preferred.
• 1 year of retail and/or pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive prescriptions from patients and assist in preparation and dispensing.
• Verify insurance and resolve issues including prior authorizations and price checks.
• Process new and refill prescriptions in the computer system with accuracy.
• Assist under the direction of the Pharmacist to prepare drug therapy for patients.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas as appropriate.
• Maintain stock and inventory in assigned areas and handle recalls and returns.
