Job summary

Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to support day-to-day operations in a complex healthcare setting. You will assist under the pharmacist, process orders from the EMR, and prepare or dispense medications accurately and safely.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Casual hours with a day schedule and one weekend per month are offered, with participation in training and process

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year pharmacy technician experience in a complex pharmacy or healthcare environment.
• Pharmacy Technician MN Current or pending registration with the MN board of pharmacy.
• Pharmacy Technician Nationally certified or must become certified (PTCB/ExCPT) within 1-1/2 years.

Responsibilities

• Partner with care providers and pharmacists to ensure patients receive the needed medication accurately and safely.
• Under the direction of the pharmacist, process prescriptions/orders from EMR or other systems and dispense medications in a compliant manner.
• Maintain IV hoods or isolators and clean rooms per manufacturer specifications and regulations.
• Coordinate ordering and delivery of medications, supplies, and equipment to patients and clinical areas.
• Participate in regulatory, quality assurance and process improvement activities and other projects.
• Support training of new trainees.
