Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I at Swedish Hospital in Chicago, IL. This full-time role assists the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications and maintaining patient records.

Hours are 40 per week with rotating days 9 am–7 pm and rotating Saturdays; travel to other Endeavor Health locations may be required. Requirements include Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license, CPhT, and certification within 2 years of licensure.

Qualifications

• Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required; must become certified within 2 years of initial licensure
• Hospital experience preferred
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $31.45 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will need

• License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required; must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure.
• Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred.
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions
• Skills: N/A
